Activity Log: Track the Full History of an Inspection

the activity log provides a complete, time stamped history of all changes made to an inspection—from creation to the latest update it allows users to see who did what, when, and what exactly changed this is especially useful for auditing, accountability, and collaborative review processes note the activity log is visible to users with access to the inspection and cannot be edited or altered, ensuring a reliable audit trail how to access the activity log open any inspection click the three dot menu in the top right corner of the screen select activity log a side panel will appear showing a chronological record of all actions taken on that inspection what’s tracked in the activity log the log captures and displays changes such as inspection creation title or description edits status updates (e g , “new” → “in progress”) responses added, modified, or removed assigned locations or projects template or section updates workflow actions such as lock/unlock triggers note for example, if a user renames an inspection, changes its status, and adds a response to a question, each step will be recorded with their name, timestamp, and action detail available actions refresh the log manually using the circular arrow icon at the top download the full log as a spreadsheet file by clicking the download icon the exported file includes user names, timestamps, and detailed change logs note downloaded logs can be shared externally for audit or compliance purposes, or stored as supporting documentation for high risk inspections best practices check the activity log before signing off on inspections to confirm all changes were intentional use it to resolve internal disputes or questions about when and how an inspection was modified archive the exported log if required for legal or client documentation need help? if you're unsure how to interpret a log entry or want help integrating logs into your workflow, reach out to our customer success team—we’re happy to assist
