3 min
the signature control in visualogyx allows you to easily capture digital signatures during inspections—perfect for confirming acknowledgment, verifying responsibility, or validating work it’s simple to use, but powerful in the data it collects how it works when an inspector or responsible party signs the field their name , date and time , and geolocation (if enabled) are all automatically captured alongside the signature this makes the signature field a complete and tamper evident validation block—you don’t need to ask for a separate name or date field beforehand the metadata is embedded and shown directly below the signed area adding a signature field to a template in the template builder, go to input controls drag and drop the signature control into the section you want it customize the label and optional placeholder text enable the “required” toggle if the field must be signed before submission how it appears in an inspection when completing an inspection the user can sign directly using a mouse, finger (on touch devices), or stylus the system will show the signer’s metadata below the signature if needed, users can click “reset” to clear and re sign this ensures accountability is built directly into the flow of your inspection—without extra steps
