getting started with templates getting started with templates templates are the foundation of your inspection workflows in visualogyx they allow you to standardize and streamline the data collection process, ensuring consistency and completeness across your inspections follow these steps to create your first template and start conducting inspections efficiently step 1 access the template builder step 1 access the template builder log in to your visualogyx account navigate to the "templates" section from the left hand menu or dashboard click the "new template" button in the top right corner choose to start a template from scratch, start with a pre built template, or import a template from the template library step 2 customize the template details step 2 customize the template details provide a descriptive name for your template optionally, you can add a template description to provide context or instructions click the "i" icon on the right hand side of the screen to access additional template settings here, you can disable photo uploads for the entire template if you want photos to be taken in person at the time of the inspection step 3 build the template structure step 3 build the template structure use the drag and drop interface to add various field types to your template, such as text, multiple choice, date, media (photos/videos), and signatures arrange the fields in a logical order that aligns with your inspection workflow utilize the section dividers to group related fields and improve template organization step 4 configure field properties step 4 configure field properties click on a field to access its properties in the right hand panel customize the field label and instructions add a placeholder text to provide guidance or examples for the field mark fields as required or optional enable the ability to annotate fields with notes or images for multiple choice fields, select multiple options and for single choice fields, specify predefined options disable file uploads to ensure that all evidence captured is from within the time the inspection was conducted step 5 preview and test the template step 5 preview and test the template use the "preview" button on the top right to visualize how the template will appear to your team test the template by filling it out and ensuring all fields function as intended make any necessary adjustments based on your testing step 6 save and activate the template step 6 save and activate the template once you're satisfied with the template, click the "publish" button this activates the template to make it available for use in your team’s inspections tips and best practices tips and best practices start with a clear understanding of your inspection requirements and objectives involve subject matter experts and stakeholders in the template creation process leverage existing industry standards or regulations to ensure compliance regularly review and update your templates to reflect changes in processes or requirements encourage feedback from your inspection team to continuously improve the templates with well designed templates, you can ensure consistent and accurate data collection, streamline your inspection workflows, and drive operational excellence across your organization
