Repeatable Sections
Repeatable sections in Visualogyx provide a flexible and efficient way to create inspection templates that can accommodate varying numbers of items or areas to be inspected. This feature is particularly useful when inspecting properties or assets that may have different quantities of rooms, components, or systems. For example, by creating a repeatable section, you can use the same template for a property with one room or ten rooms, without the need to modify the template each time. Follow these steps to create and use repeatable sections in your inspections.
1. When designing your template, identify the section or group of questions that may need to be repeated a variable number of times.
2. In the template editor, create a new section for the repeatable content.
3. Configure the questions, data types, and settings for the section as needed.
4. In the section settings, toggle on the "Repeatable Sections" option.
5. Optionally, provide a label or description for the repeatable section to help understand its purpose.
6. Save the repeatable section configuration and publish the template
1. When conducting an inspection using a template with repeatable sections, the inspector will encounter the repeatable section during the normal flow of the inspection.
2. To add an instance of the repeatable section, click the "+ (Name of Section)".
3. Complete the questions and data fields for each instance of the repeatable section, capturing the necessary information for each room, component, or system.
4. If needed, you can remove an instance of the repeatable section by clicking the trash icon on the right of the repeatable section header.
5. Continue to complete the inspection, including any non-repeatable sections, until all required information has been captured.
Consider a property inspection template that includes a repeatable section for capturing information about each room in the property. The repeatable section might include questions about the room's dimensions, condition, fixtures, and any noted issues.
1. The inspector arrives at the property and determines that there are five rooms to be inspected.
2. During the inspection, the inspector encounters the repeatable "Room" section in the template.
3. The inspector clicks "Add Room" five times to create five instances of the repeatable section.
4. For each room instance, the inspector fills in the required information, such as room type, dimensions, condition, and any noted issues.
5. If the inspector mistakenly added an extra room instance, they can remove it using the trash icon on the repeatable sections header.
6. The inspector completes the remaining sections of the inspection template and submits the completed inspection.
Repeatable sections streamline the inspection process, reduce template maintenance, and ensure that inspections can adapt to the unique characteristics of each property or asset being inspected. This powerful feature helps organizations maintain a consistent and efficient approach to inspections, regardless of the complexity or variability of the subjects being inspected.
